What was Gunjan’s background like?
Gunjan spent his childhood in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His father was an IAS officer, and because of this, he had made up his mind to go to the civil service since childhood. He failed in his first 2 attempts, but he was determined to clear the UPSC exam. In this way he made a third attempt and a good one. Finally in 2018, he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS by acquiring the All India Rank 9.
Learn Gunjan’s technique
Gunjan believes that for success in UPSC you have to start from zero. Applying any kind of shortcut here can prove very dangerous. So you have to clear your basics first. Slowly bring your preparation to a standard book. When your preparation is complete, revise as much as possible and make short notes so that subsequent revisions can be done in less time. Practice answer writing as much as possible. With all these things in mind you can perform well.
