IAS Topper Utkarsh Kumar’s Success Story: Today we will tell you the story of Utkarsh Kumar, who had succeeded in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Uttarkash, based in Jharkhand, decided to quit his job with a package of Rs 29 lakh per annum to join the civil service to bring about a change in society. After nearly three years of struggle, he fulfilled his dream by earning the All India 55 rank at UPSC 2020. Today we will tell you how they met the challenges and succeeded in their journey.
Engineering degree from IIT
Utkarsh Kumar was originally from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. His mother was a teacher and his father an engineer. After the interim, Utkarsh cleared IIT entrance and obtained an engineering degree from IIT Bombay. He then got a job in a multinational company with an annual package of Rs 29 lakh. After working for a few years, he decided to join the civil service and quit the job. It was a tough decision for them but with the support of the family, they set out to make their dreams come true.
Balanced preparation leads to success
Utkarsh succeeded in his second attempt at UPSC. When the first attempt was successful, they rectified their shortcomings. In fact, at UPSC, they believe every matter should be prepared by balancing. Give each subject equal space and tighten. In addition to studying, keep making notes and practice writing the answer. They believe that if you follow such a schedule, you will soon find success.

Utkarsh’s advice to other candidates
During the preparation of UPSC, Utkarsh believes that you must first do your own technique. After that the study material should be prepared from good sources. They also say that you can use social media for your preparation. If you strive in the right direction, you will surely succeed. Utkarsh believes that family support is essential in this journey. If your family motivates you in difficult situations, you will surely reach your destination.
