In fact, the Department of Telecom has begun the process of OTP, a one-time password authentication process. After that the user does not need to change the SIM from postpaid to prepaid. The COAI put the proposal on hold
In fact, COAI, the Cellular Operators Association of India recently put the proposal before the Telecom Department. The department said in its note that the country’s three largest private telecom companies, Geo, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea, had asked for an easy process for transferring prepaid connections from postpaid to prepaid.

To transfer the postpaid number to the prepaid number, the number must be at least 90 days.
For this, users must first submit the request through the company’s website or app.
After this, the user receives a message, including a transaction ID and a one-time password.
The validity of this OTP is only 10 minutes.

With visualization, the user receives the completion date of the process.
Users can complete this process with the help of OTP and IVRS ie voice calling.
According to the Department of Telecom, the process will be completed in half an hour.
