The West Bengal student credit card will be launched soon, with the project getting Cabinet approval

Kolkata: The West Bengal Cabinet on Thursday approved the student credit card scheme promised by the Trinamool Congress in its election manifesto. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee informed about the decision of the Cabinet. With credit card assistance, students can get soft loans up to Rs 10 lakh for higher studies.

The benefit of the project can be taken up to 40 years of age
CM said 40-year-old students were eligible for the project. Now, no one has to leave home for schooling and the parents of the students said no worries. The state government guarantees loans up to Rs 10 lakh. He said the state government is standing with the students.

Students will be able to repay this loan after securing employment. “After getting a job, a student is given fifteen years to repay the loan,” the chief minister said. The process of taking out this loan has also been made easier. Students can apply online for a credit card. Let us say that the Trinamool Congress had promised such a plan in its manifesto during the Assembly elections in West Bengal and it is now being implemented.
