The Government of Karnataka will start the next academic year from October 2021. Higher Education Minister Dr Ashwathnarayan CN issued a statement on Tuesday. With this, the Minister proposes to conduct semester exams soon for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The Vice-Chancellors of all universities are working to conduct semester exams for UG and PG students soon, said Higher Education Minister Dr Ashwathnarayan. He said the Karnataka government is planning to set up evening colleges in metro cities and is exploring options to launch inter-disciplinary programs at some colleges of Vishweshwaraya Technical University (VTU).
Students over the age of 18 need to make sure they get the covid vaccine
Announcing a tentative timetable for the start of the next academic year, the Higher Education Minister said, “Vice Chancellors and College Heads should look at vaccinating all students above the age of 18 against COVID-19 So the start may be normal next academic year. Examinations can be conducted as usual. Academic work needs to continue and we need to find solutions. “
Work on a project to make Karnataka a major education hub
The government will also launch a consolidated university management system in July with the aim of making Karnataka a major education center, he said.
