The Manipur government has canceled the Class 2021 and 12th Board exams due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Manipur Education Minister S. Rajan Singh told a press conference in Imphal on Wednesday that the Board of Secondary Education Board (Bosem) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CoHSEM) will cancel 2021 exams. P B Secondary Education Board, Manipur (Bosem) Secretary S. Mangijao Singh and Higher Secondary Education Council, Manipur (CoHSEM) Secretary CH Biren Singh have issued separate official notifications in this regard.

Bosem Secretary S Mangizao stated in his memorandum, “… the COVID-19 epidemic and the response from various stakeholders, in view of the uncertain circumstances, the high school dropout certificate (HSLC)) test is for 2021.” Secretary C Biren Singh said, “… the Ministry of Higher Secondary Examination in Manipur, 2021, has been notified as Higher Secondary in respect of the cancellation of the Department of Education (S).
In addition, it has been stated that the method of issuing marks and certificates to students is done with the proper approval of the government.
Earlier, the 10th and 12th exams were postponed
On April 19, the state government announced the discontinuation of physical classes for all government, government-funded private institutions or schools from 9th to 12th. In the wake of the growing number of positive cases in the second wave of Kovid-19, the State Authority has announced that it will postpone HSLC Examination 2021 and Higher Secondary Examination 2021. Notably, the Matriculation and Higher Secondary examinations are scheduled to be held on May 6 and 20, 2021 respectively.
