Mamata Banerjee, who is in power in Bengal for the third time, has started implementing promises made to the public. The student credit card scheme was approved by the state cabinet on Thursday. After the meeting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in her election manifesto that the Trinamool Congress had promised this. The students were informed that the credit card scheme would be launched in the state on June 30.
Students can borrow up to Rs 10 lakh
He said students in Class 10 or higher can get soft loans with credit card assistance up to Rs 10 lakh for lower interest for higher studies. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said those who have been living in West Bengal for 10 years can take advantage of the scheme. It is important to note that undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and postgraduate studies in India or abroad can be borrowed.
15 years will be given to repay the loan
The benefit of the project could be up to 40 years old, he said. “After getting the job, the student who takes out the loan is given fifteen years to repay the loan,” the chief minister said. Getting a loan is a very simple process. This card can also be taken online.
Earlier, Mamata Banerjee had launched a scheme to provide farmers with Rs 10,000 per annum under the Krishak Bandhu scheme, as promised during the Assembly elections.
