Millions of applicants attend the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Civil Service Examination (CSE) every year. The age to attend this examination is 21 years. Most of those attending the test are 26 to 28 years old. Simi Karan, who has studied at IIT Bombay, has succeeded in the first attempt. She is now an IAS officer who passed the Civil Service Examination. During her internship in engineering, she went to teach slum children. From then on, thinking of helping people, Moody wrote a civil service test and decided to become an IAS.

Originally from Odisha, Simi Karan’s childhood was spent in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. While his mother was a teacher, his father worked in a steel factory in Bhilai. So his schooling took place in Bhilai. In 2019, SIMI, which achieved its place in the UPSC with a ranking of 31st in all India, saw the interviews of Toppers to become IAS. He read the UPSC syllabus completely on the Internet. According to that syllabus, they collected their books and started making their own.
Simi divided his syllabus into smaller parts so that he could study well. After completing the syllabus, they constantly revised it. Simi says that candidates who are preparing for IAS should keep in mind that the books are limited and revised again and again. They say maximum revision is necessary for exam preparation.
