In Madhya Pradesh, the study of medicine can now be done in Hindi and English. In fact, State Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang on Tuesday said the Madhya Pradesh government would give the option of studying medicine in Hindi “in the near future”. “We will soon form a committee to make sure that the medical education course (subject) is ready in Hindi,” he said. Vishwas Sarang said the committee would be formed to prepare a module for medical education in Hindi. The course is prepared in Hindi only after the advice of this committee. Students prefer to take medical education in Hindi or English. Sarang said providing medical education facilities in Hindi will boost the confidence of students from poor, rural and tribal backgrounds.
