JoSAA releases seat sharing rules for entry into IIT, NIT, check here

JoSAA Seat Sharing Terms: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has issued guidelines for admission to 114 institutions for the academic year 2021-22. These institutions include 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IITs and 29 other government funded technical institutions (other – GFTIs). Candidates should note that admission to IIT is through JEE Advanced 2021. Access to other institutions known as NIT + is conducted through JEE Main 2021.

For IITs, the entire undergraduate program in an institution will have at least 20% women for the academic year 2021-22. For NITs, IIEST Shibboor and some IITs, at least 20% of individual undergraduate programs for the academic year 2021-22 will be female.

To be included in the IIT’s general rank list, the candidate must get at least 35% total and at least 10% marks in each subject. For the general-EWS rank list and the OBC-NCL hierarchy, the minimum content percentage percentage and the minimum percentage of total scores are 9% and 31.5%, respectively. For all other categories, the minimum percentage of marks in each subject was 5% and the total percentage of total points was 17.5%.
