Jammu and Kashmir administration has sanctioned reopening of 10th standard schools, which are conditional

Jammu and Kashmir school reopening: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday allowed higher education institutions and schools to reopen on Sunday 10th and 12th grade students with certain conditions. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary AK Mehta. It is also scheduled to maintain most of the Kovid-19 control guidelines, including the night curfew. Significantly, in a series of measures involving the spread of the corona epidemic, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on April 18 ordered the closure of all educational institutions, including universities and colleges, until further orders.

50 Classes are conducted with a percentage of capacity

In an order issued after reviewing the Kovid-19 situation, state executive committee (SEC) president Mehta said that the attendance of students in Class XII should not exceed 50 per cent on the stipulated days. Accordingly, consent will be obtained by the parents of all students who wish to attend the school. The school premises must be thoroughly sanitized, and the proper inspection is done at the school gate for vaccination. “If any student or teacher or other school staff shows signs of cough, cold, or fever, they are not allowed to enter the school.”

School on-site or except Class 10-12 Closed for personal teaching

The Deputy Commissioner may permit individual classes for students in Class 10, following all protocols. “The schools will be closed for on-site / in-person instruction, except for relaxations for 12th and 10th grade students,” the order said.

Training centers will be opened for teachers and students who have been vaccinated

In addition, civil services or coaching centers for engineering or NEET exams will be allowed, with limited individual tuition for fully vaccinated staff and students. “All other training centers will be closed for onsite / in-person teaching,” the order said.
