Preparing for UPSC after working for years
Saurabh Pandey is based in Benares, UP. Joined the job after graduation. After working for many years, he made up his mind to go back to his old dream, namely UPSC. Doing this was not easy for Saurabh but he started preparing himself for the UPSC.
Such was the journey of the UPSC
In 2014, Saurabh made his first attempt at UPSC, in which he was unable to succeed due to lack of preparation. Even after this he worked hard but he failed four times in a row. He gave up hope after failing a total of 5 times. But with the support of family and friends, he stood up and became an IAS officer, earning the All India Rank 66 in his last attempt.

Saurabh’s advice to other candidates
Saurabh believes the journey to UPSC can be quite a struggle but you have to be positive at this time. They advocate staying away from negative people. They believe that when you feel frustrated you should take the support of family and friends. In addition they advise people to prepare a backup plan. They believe that you should make every last attempt at UPSC. With constant hard work and refinement, you can achieve success here.
