In view of the decline in Covid-19 cases in the country, many states are loosing lockdown restrictions. At the same time, schools and colleges are also reopening. Notably, schools have opened in many states and many are planning to reopen schools soon. Tell us which states will open or announce schools.
Schools, colleges and technical institutes have been opened for students of Class XII in Gujarat from July 15, 2021. Significantly, new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Gujarat. That is why the state government has started 50 per cent capacity classes in colleges and technical institutes other than the 12th standard.
Puducherry has decided to reopen all government and private schools for students from 9th to 12th of July. Chief Minister N Rangaswamy has announced that all colleges in the central region will reopen from July 16. However, now the decision has been withdrawn. The government has said that they have taken this decision in view of the health of the people.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a big statement about opening schools in the national capital of Delhi. During a conversation with the media, he expressed concern about the third wave, saying that schools are not yet open here.
Schools have opened in Uttar Pradesh since July 1, but students have not been allowed to go to schools. In fact, state schools have been opened for academic purposes and only teachers and non-teaching staff are allowed to attend school. For the same students, online learning-teaching is currently underway.
Schools with 50% attendance have been opened from 11th to 12th July in Bihar from 6th July. But, step by step, schools need to be opened here. Most notably, the government has issued strict instructions to all schools and colleges to follow the Corona guidelines. In addition, instructions have been issued to make special arrangements for thermal screening at the firm’s gate.
On July 9, the Haryana government announced that schools will reopen from 9th to 12th July with a social gap. If the situation is normal, schools will be reopened for other classes. The 6th and 8th grade schools will reopen from July 23rd. However, online classes will continue and students who wish to continue taking it will be allowed to do so, and students will be allowed to attend school only after obtaining written permission from parents. Currently, schools from 1 to 5 will be closed in the state and any decision on reopening them will be taken later.
9th to 12th grade schools will be opened in Chandigarh Chandigarh from July 19. However, parental consent is required to come to school. Online classes also continue during this time.
In Maharashtra, schools will be open from 8th to 8th July, 2021. However, the government has allowed schools to open in those areas where not a single corona case has occurred in the last one month.
The state government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to reopen the state schools from August 16. Only online classes are taking place here.
The Uttarakhand government is planning to reopen colleges and universities in areas where Kovid-19 cases are relatively slow. As TOI reported, Uttarakhand Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said, “We are looking forward to reopening the district colleges and universities where there are fewer cases of Kovid-19.” This year, let’s say the Uttarakhand government opened colleges and educational institutions in February but then the physical classes were discontinued due to the second wave of the Kovid-19 epidemic.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said the schools will be opened with a 50 per cent capacity from July 25-26. The Chief Minister said that if the situation is controlled, soon the lower classes will be opened.
