BHU has issued guidelines for online open book testing

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released its online examination guidelines. Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Terminal and Intermediate Semester Examinations at the University will commence from July 7 to August 8, PhD Coursework, UG and PG Diploma and Certificate Examinations August 11 to August 14. UG-PG Examinations will be conducted in open book format
It is noteworthy that the final semester exams for terminal and intermediate UG and PG students will be conducted online in the form of Open-Book Examination (OBE), considering the restrictions imposed by the COVID epidemic. Students can take the test from home comfortably in OBE mode. The university allows students to consult with books and study materials to write answers.

According to the university’s guidelines for the OBE model, the online OBE system does not require online platform availability during the entirety of the test. System with Internet connection – personal computer or mobile phone is enough. The total duration of the exam is 4 hours and 30 minutes, which includes the time to download the question paper from the portal, write the answers manually and upload the hand written answer booklet on the portal.

Students must log into the exam portal at least 30 minutes before the start of their exam. After the start of the test they can download the questionnaire from the portal and upload the handwritten questionnaires using the available tools ahead of schedule. Model of the test
Regarding the exam model, the BHU Question paper consists of eight questions, in which students have to answer any four questions. The question paper contains 70 marks and each question contains 17.6 points.
