Gaurav, a native of Churu in Rajasthan, had prepared for UPSC after studying BTech and MA in Sociology from IIT BHU. On his first attempt, he dreamed of becoming an IAS officer. Getting Started With a Master’s Degree
Gaurav Budania’s father is a teacher and mother is a housewife. From the beginning, Gaurav was very active in studies and he earned his MA in Sociology after IIT BHU and BTech. He began preparing for UPSC with MA reading. Immediately after completing the PG, he had prepared for the Civil Service with full dedication. With hard work and good strategy, he made his Civil Service dream come true by earning All India 13th place in the first attempt.
Gaurav first visited the UPSC website and looked at the civil services curriculum. This gave him an idea of how to travel longer. After this he chose the Basic and Standard books. Then made a good schedule and started working hard. According to her, you should study every day according to the time specified and make notes together so that in the end, revision can be done easily.

Gaurav advised other candidates
Gaurav believes that if you are preparing for the UPSC, you should proceed with a good strategy. They say that if you don’t strive for it every day, you won’t reach your destination. According to him, hard work, proper technique, maximum refinement, note making, answer writing practice and a positive attitude are critical to success.
